How is public school better than home-schooling?

Hi, I am currently home-schooled, and would like to attend public school for the rest of the year and all of high school. I talked to my mom about it. She says that if I come up with a pro’s and con’s list along with a persuasive essay, we can discuss the idea. I think she will tell me no any way but I would like to try. So if anyone has any reason why public school is better, I would appreciate your help.
I’ve already came up with many reasons why public school is not the best idea, but feel free to list some reasons as well!
