I have been going to an all boys boarding school since the seventh grade. All my friends attend that school but i dont want to go there anymore. The only other choice i have is to go to public in the neighborhood. There ill meet girls make NEW friends etc. What should i do

The very good high school is the one my parents want me to go to. But they do say that they’ll support my choice (or so they say). The high school with my friends in it is really close to me. It’s magnet, but not exactly the greatest neighborhood, if you know what I mean. My bestestestest friend is going there. I’m not good at making new friends and I’ll definitly feel sad that i’ll have to leave her, cause we have the greatest times together. What should I do?
